Victoria Watcher has just posted a new topic entitled "Victoria at Dusk - Feb 13th thru 15th" in forum "Arts, Culture and Entertainment".

Winter festival to light up downtown Victoria on Family Day weekendInteractive displays, live performances and storytelling are on the menu for the evening event, called Victoria at Dusk. An interactive art event will light up downtown Victoria over the Family Day weekend, offering a chance to be immersed in creative displays, live performances and storytelling.
Victoria at Dusk will feature "hubs" that each focus on a different theme: nature, immersion, community, transformation and curiosity.
Ship Point will be the main hub, dedicated to DJs, local brews and food trucks.
Other hubs will be at the Royal B.C. Museum, Victoria Conference Centre, Government Street and Bastion Square.
Visitors will walk along a route between each hub, or roam from place to place, taking in colourful lights and music.

The event is funded by the city's OUR DWTN initiative and was created in partnership with The Wilder, a B.C.-based creative studio and event planner.
Melanie Lazelle, founder and creative director of The Wilder, said she applied to produce the event after seeing a request for proposals from the city.
The Wilder was awarded $225,000 to produce the event, according to the city's project proposal website.
