The nation is building a renewable-diesel hybrid microgrid at Yuquot (Friendly Cove), on the southwestern tip of Nootka Island. ___________________________ Yuquot is the ancestral home of the Mowachaht (https://www.pc.gc.ca/apps/dfhd/page_nhs_eng.aspx?id=54)and the centre of their social, political and economic world. For over 4,300 years, the village was the capital for the 17 tribes of the Nootka Sound region, according to Parks Canada (https://www.pc.gc.ca/apps/dfhd/page_nhs_eng.aspx?id=54). In 1923, it was named the Yuquot National Historic Site of Canada.
