Last month, a U.S. company lodged papers in the United States District Court in Seattle (https://www.courthousenews.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/12/rockfish-ss-pacific-salvage-rights.pdf?utm_source=victoria%20times%20colonist&utm_campaign=victoria%20times%20colonist%3A%20outbound&utm_medium=referral) stating it had located what it believes is the wreck of the Pacific at around 1,500 feet deep on the western edge of the Juan de Fuca Strait.
