The Monster is coming to Victoria — but it's all for fun, not scares.

The 300-metre-long inflatable obstacle course — the largest in the world — is set to take over Royal Athletic Park on Caledonia Avenue from June 8-11, when both adult and family-oriented youth sessions will happen over four days.

VV'ers I'm looking for suggestions for ideally a nice intimate MD dinner for Mrs ASE. Our usual go-to for such things is Il Terrazzo however I'd like to do something a bit different, in addition to the fact I-T will be jammed, sitting elbow to elbow more often than not is a bit too intimate, heh.

So a couple of caveats; Mrs ASE does not like seafood or pork, (a little) red meat is fine. Poultry is good. The biggie is that she has celiac disease so gluten free is a must.

Although I'm leaning heavily toward dinner, breakfast is ok (I know because I asked and she signed off on it!) and I found a great Mexican place in Market Square, Fuego's, with an extensive GF menu so that option is covered if we can't settle on dinner.

My old go-to for such evenings was Cafe Brio but I haven't been there for some time. If it gets lots of positive feedback here I'd lean towards it for sure. I'm really interested however in suggestions for dinner places we haven't been to or tried before, and which meet the requirements above, especially the good gluten free requirement. Thanks folks.....

Can any VV'er recommend a good gluten free breakfast joint? When we venture out for brekkie its usually some stand-by like Mychosen Cafe or Fountain diner, both solid choices but neither has extensive GF breakfast options. Both serve up plenty of "veggie" stuff to choose from but Mrs ASE has developed a real sensitivity to gluten in recent years.

Would prefer to avoid to potential hassle of d/t parking but would try some place even there if it was very strongly recommended. Thanks.
